A. The chief animal care and regulation officer may inspect a kennel or cattery that has applied for a registration certificate under WMC 7.16.020, or the agency authorized by contract with the city to ensure compliance with this title, prior to the issuance of a kennel or cattery license. Any inspection performed under this section shall require the owner be given reasonable notice prior to the inspection time and date.

B. Upon receiving written complaint that the kennel or cattery does not meet any or all of the requirements of this title, the chief animal care and regulation officer may, at the officer’s discretion, inspect any kennel or cattery, at reasonable times, between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. (Ord. 09-69(AM) § 6, 2009; prior code § 12.10.100)
