No employee shall be employed by or engage in work for an employer other than the city, including but not limited to self employment, during the employee’s work hours. Additionally, an employee may not do business with the city during their nonwork hours unless they obtain advance written approval from the mayor. The mayor shall not approve conducting any business with the city that would constitute a substantial conflict of interest as defined in WMC Chapter 2.01.
