The duties of the chief shall be to develop for council adoption the necessary ordinances and budget to govern and operate the police department and to assemble the personnel, facilities, equipment and supplies necessary to field a police force. The chief shall rely on the Draft Wasilla Police Department Conceptual Design and subsequent guidance from city ordinance and the mayor/manager to develop the department.
