An employee who plans to take PTO or another form of leave authorized by these rules shall notify their supervisor or department head in advance of taking the leave as provided for in this chapter. Any unauthorized or unreported absences shall be deemed an absence without pay and may be cause for disciplinary action up to and including termination.
