A. The city clerk shall be appointed by the council and serve at the pleasure of the council.

B. The deputy city clerk shall be appointed by the city clerk and confirmed by the city council. The deputy clerk shall be a classified position. (Ord. 01-02 § 2, 2001; prior code § 2.28.010)
